Twilight spa was fabulous. Lovely facilities and a beautiful meal. I was asked to take my necklace off for my treatment and put it in the pocket of my robe which I then forgot about it. Telephoned the hotel who not only made sure to speak to the cleaners to look for it they had it at reception ready to collect by 7am the next morning. So very grateful. Staff are amazing. Thank you so much.

An absolute delight. Elegant, welcoming, and beautifully kept. I stopped in for a visit and was really impressed by how smart and well-presented everything was. The café beside the golf club is a lovely spot, serving freshly made snacks, sandwiches, pastries, and a good range of drinks, including beer on tap. The ladies serving were genuinely warm and helpful, which made the experience even better. We enjoyed a half pint of Birra Moretti each and tried their homemade cheese and pickle sausage roll.. it was delicious and unlike anything I’ve had before. Sitting out on the patio overlooking the golf course, surrounded by relaxed golfers chatting away, the atmosphere was calm and inviting. A wonderful spot to unwind. I’ll definitely be visiting more often.

Awesome hotel and great value in this current market. No extra charge for my dog either. Delicious food, lovely spa and treatments, well appointed rooms and super kind & helpful staff. I’ll definitely go back and stay again. Faultless from start to end, highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the most wonderful stay at Headlam Hotel & Spa. Everything was absolutely perfect – from the warm, attentive staff to the beautifully kept grounds and inviting atmosphere. The food was outstanding, with so much care and quality in every detail. It’s rare to find somewhere that combines such luxury with such great value for money. The whole experience had a truly personal touch, and everywhere was immaculate. A fantastic place to relax, recharge, and feel looked after – I can’t recommend it highly enough!

What an absolutely amazing hotel! I would like to specifically mention a couple of things: 1. The building and grounds are immaculate. 2. I really enjoyed knowing that the food I was eating was sourced either locally or from the hotel’s own gardens. The lady at dinner mentioned that they grow vegetables on-site, which prompted me to check it out this morning. I spent some time with the gardener, who explained what they are growing and how they manage it. It’s exceptional that the produce is grown just about 100 meters away from the kitchen; this is incredibly important to me. 3. Knowing that this establishment is family-owned for many years adds a lovely touch. 4. All the staff were super friendly and so helpful from the bar to the spa. We will be repeated customers and highly recommend if someones looking for quality and sustainability.

We've stayed here twice and I'm certain we'll keep coming back. It has the feel of a family-owned hotel where everyone takes pride in their work and customer care is still top of the priority list. Rooms are very comfortable and the food is excellent. We've also hired two of the classic cars they own and have enjoyed exploring the Co Durham countryside in them.

Our favourite hotel. We go at less 3 times a year and have been going for over 15 years. Perfect size, beautiful gardens, superb food and dining room. Outstanding bar and staff. Excellent pool and outdoor hot tub. We have never had a bad experience here. 10/10.

Amazing place with brilliant service from the minute you check in to the moment you leave, the staff can never to enough to help you. We've been going every year for our wedding anniversary and its always lovely.
